MAD Bits - Multi-angle drill bits
The MAD-bit replaces Augers, Spade bits, and Brad bits to form holes in thick timbers and laminates such as joists, noggins, floor boards, decking, kitchen worktops, cupboards and shelves.
Typically used when installing plumbing, heating, air-con systems, shower heads and taps, or electrical installations like satellite TV, security alarms, mains electric conduits, junction boxes, light switches etc.
The MAD-bit is neater and faster than chisels to form mortices and channels in wood and laminates such as door posts, doors, cabinets, chairs and tables, skirting panels and stud walls and partitions. Typically used when installing locks, hinges, rebates and mortice joinery joints.
Unlike any other conventional drill bit, MAD-bit can also form any of the above holes or channels in a curve as well as straight. This gives the DIY or professional the unique capability to "fix" misalignment errors which frequently occur during house building or renovating jobs.
